The Z Club of Childlink High School, Inc., in cooperation with the Zonta Club of Cebu II, successfully conducted a seminar titled โEmpowering Teens: Making Healthy Choicesโ The session featured two distinguished speakers who addressed the important issue of teenage pregnancy.
Dr. Chona Del Prado-Tremedal, an OB-Gyne, discussed the physical changes, health risks, and challenges that adolescents face when experiencing teenage pregnancy. She emphasized the importance of understanding oneโs body and making informed choices.
Dr. Robby Echavez focused on the psychological effects of teenage pregnancy, highlighting emotional struggles, mental health concerns, and the crucial role of support systems. He also provided guidance on what communities and families can do to help young people navigate these challenges.
The audience, composed of the youth of Barangay Guadalupe, actively participated and gained valuable insights to support healthier and more empowered decision-making.
