“Kumain Nang Wasto at Maging Aktibo, Push Natin To.”
Childlink Learning Center celebrated Nutrition Month 2019 last July 26, in line with the Department of Education’s national theme. This celebration occurs every year and helps the students grasp the importance of good health. During the event, different competitions, such as singing and dancing, slogan making, poster making, and salad making, were held for the students in grades 1 and 2, 3 and 4, 5, and 6, and 7 to 11 respectively. All the activities were also done in order to raise awareness on different healthy practices. As the student council advisor, Jodimarie Tio, put it “Every year, the goal for Nutrition Month is to encourage everyone to pursue a healthier lifestyle by eating good food and by starting healthy habits.”
Throughout this entire process, the students were very proud and pleased with their work. “It was a way to show the creativity and colorfulness of nutrition,” Jhirlymarie Tio, a grade 9 student, said. Not only did this event bring joy and great accomplishments to the students, but it also made them learn and understand that to enjoy a healthy life and to remain strong and fit, they must also eat nutritious food, have good habits, and maintain an active routine even after the Nutrition Month celebration.
